Emotional Wellbeing Support Officer

Choices4Growth are looking for someone to join their team to help support the emotional wellbeing of all age groups based in North Northumberland.

C4G work in local schools and the communities, working with children, young persons, and adults. 


Ideally you will be…

Someone who young people easily warm to recognising you as a trusted professional.

Be able to work effectively within a team.

Have experience of working with young people supporting emotional health
and wellbeing in non-traditional settings.

Strong awareness of legislation as it applies to young people particularly focussed on mental health, safeguarding, substance misuse, self-harm and broader emotional health and wellbeing.

You will have experience of working in the provision of information, advice, and guidance, preferably in an educational setting and experience of working with people who have additional support needs.

Be prepared to work evenings and/or occasional weekends as required by the role.

To contribute to the wider work of the project and its development.

Be a reflective practitioner in the role.

As a worker you will be child focused in your practice.

You are organised in your administration and yet can work at depth with
vulnerable young people and their families.

Preferably have a recognised counselling qualification.

Have a minimum level 3 qualification in childcare, social work, social care, counselling, youth work or education.

A clean full UK driving licence.

An in-date DBS.
