Mental Health Awareness Week
Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, Mental Health Awareness Week takes place 18th - 24th May 2020.
Choices4Growth are embracing and wishing to use this week to highlight kindness.
During these difficult challenging times we are hearing many stories of acts of kindness that are so important to our mental health.
Research shows kindness and our mental health are deeply connected, and that kindness is an antidote to isolation and creates a sense of belonging. It helps reduce stress, brings a fresh perspective and deepens friendships.
Kindness to ourselves can help boost our self-esteem and can even improve feelings of confidence and optimism.
To receive or to give kindness is an act of courage, as we take the conscious decision to be open and transparent.
